Onsite or Contract for Your Safety Management

Many small organizations feel they do not have the room in their budget for the overhead cost of an onsite health and safety coordinator. Most small organizations are probably right. When margins are tight to begin with, adding costs to the bottom line can hurt the business. The problem is that something as important as health and safety management cannot be overlooked. Even if you have to hire a contract company to come onsite and work on a few specific tasks to keep you within any compliance laws your business might be subject to, it is worth the cost to avoid a possible fine or worse, being shut down. Even if you can initially only afford one or two days a month, just making the effort and having something to report on paper will go a long way. Check with your local county and on the web for affordable, but reputable EHS companies.
